How to upgrade Samsung Galaxy S5570 from Android 2.2 Froyo to Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread

Samsung Galaxy mobiles now a days comes with android version 2.2 Froyo with update available to Gingerbread 2.3.3. So, how to upgrade it ? How to update your Android phone from froyo v 2.2 to 2.3 Gingerbread. Let me take you through the whole tutorial to show how you can do this. :)

But why you should update your android version to 2.3 ?

There are number of bugs have been fixed in latest version with improvement in interface and some more added features like gallery view seems like in Iphone. Your battery will work for longer time. Also, some features you can use now that are possible in android version 2.2 with Root Mode i.e. We use mobile phone on user mode and some features require root mode to use them but now few of those features that i will post soon you can do on android 2.3 Gingerbread on user mode also.

So, lets start with the tutorial now :

1. Before starting with upgradation, charge your mobile phone. It is advisable to charge your mobile phone atleast 50%.

2. Now, Check if your model is GT-S5570.

for this :

  • Go to Settings >> About Phone

    • Update procedure :

    1. First You need to download Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread from here .

    2. Extract Folder from .zip using password techbyte.co.in and after extracting check if you have all these file in your folder.

    3. Now, Click on Odin Multi Downloader v4.38.exe from the extracted folder and a window will pop up like this

    4. Now, Connect your mobile phone with your PC or laptop using USB cable and switch to download mode.

    How can we switch to Download mode ?

    To do this : Turn Off your mobile phone and hold the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button) and while holding these both buttons, you need to Power ON your device.

    Now, if you have successfully switch to download mode, your screen will look like this :

    5. Now, on your pc you have open up Odin Multi Downloader.

    if it shows like this :

    As soon as you connect the phone, you will see that first ID:COM box as shown below will turn yellow and in the message box you will see that it will show ADDED as shown above .

    6. Now, this step should be done very carefully :

    Find “Select Images to download” in 0din multidownloader.

    And select following files from the folder you have extracted for following options.

    OPS – TASS_v1.0.ops,

    BOOT – APBOOT_S5570XXKPF_CL189639_REV02_user_mid_true.tar.md5,

    Phone – MODEM_S5570XXKPF_CL189639_REV02.tar.md5,

    PDA – CODE_S5570XXKPF_CL189639_REV02_user_mid_true.tar.md5,

    CSC – CSC_S5570SERKPF_CL189639_REV02_user_mid_true.tar.md5,

    7. Now, Check all these filenames again selected for above options.

    8. Click on start button in 0din multiuploader and wait for 5 minute to upgrade your android mobile firmware.

    After the upgradation will completed, mobile will automatically started and now comes with a beautiful screen like this :

    Now, you should check version of your mobile by

    Right Click >> Settings >> About Phone, it should come like
